Telecom company Bharti Airtel Marine Cable System 2 Africa Pearls has brought on the Indian coast. This will connect the country’s communication network to Africa, Europe and West Asia. Airtel said on Thursday that 2 Africa Pearls Cable System will bring more international capacity to India in India.
Airtel Director (Business) and Chief Affairs Officer Sharat Sinha said in a statement, ‘We are thrilled to bring 2 Africa Pearls cables to India. This will increase the strength of our network. We are aggressively diversity in our global networks and recently launched SEA-V-6 cable in Chennai and Mumbai. “We will continue to invest in our network keeping in mind the global cable system and future with the aim of giving our customers a reliable and better quality network,” he said.
Submarine cable is a major infrastructure that connects countries with each other for broadband services. There are about 650 submarine cable systems worldwide, of which 570 are estimated to be operational. Airtel is a partner for 2 Africa Pearls cable in India.
The statement stated that 2 Africa Pearls 2 is a part of the Africa cable system, which will be the world’s longest sea cable system when completed. This cable will connect Asia to Africa and Europe via West Asia. Its length will be more than 45,000 km.
