Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Brazil to participate in the G20 summit. The 19th G20 Summit is going to be organized in Rio de Janeiro on 18 and 19 November. This is the second stop of PM Modi’s five-day visit to three countries.
On reaching Brazil, PM Modi posted on social media platform that he is confident of meeting many global leaders at the G20 summit.
When PM Modi reached Brazil, he was warmly welcomed by the people of the Indian community there. He was welcomed amidst Vedic chanting and Indian classical music.
PM Modi’s visit to Nigeria
This visit of PM Modi to Brazil is important in many ways because last year India hosted the G20 Summit. After PM Modi’s arrival in Brazil, the Ministry of External Affairs posted that Prime Minister Modi has reached Rio de Janeiro for the G20 Summit.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier visited Nigeria. He held bilateral talks with Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu here and interacted with the Indian community. PM Modi reached the capital of Nigeria on Sunday morning on his first visit to the West African country after a gap of 17 years. After the conclusion of his visit, PM Modi had posted on X and said that thanks to Nigeria for the productive visit. This will provide strength and enthusiasm to India-Nigeria friendship.
Chinese President Xi Jinping also reached Brazil
Chinese President Xi Jinping has also reached Brazil to participate in the G20 summit. He has reached Rio de Janeiro on the invitation of Brazilian President Lula da Silva. Jinping was warmly welcomed upon reaching the airport here. Xi Jinping has reached Brazil from Peru. He participated in the 31st APEC Economic Leaders Summit in Lima, the capital of Peru.
