I also met my favorite player Ross Taylor at the same match. However, I was quite embarrassed then and when I came to ask for something, I was hesitant.

Iyer made IPL debut in 2015

Iyer’s journey was not easy from a ball boy to becoming a captain in the IPL. For this, he worked hard day and night, after which he got a chance to play for Delhi Capitals in 2015. Iyer stayed with this team till 2021. During this time he also got captaincy. Iyer’s bat was also very thunder while playing for Delhi. However, after 7 seasons he separated from this team.

KKR became champion under Iyer’s captaincy

Shreyas was associated with Kolkata Knight Riders after the departure of Delhi Capitals. Iyer entered KKR in the year 2022. As soon as he came to the team, he also got it under captaincy. However, Iyer did not play due to injury in IPL 2023, but when he returned in 2024, the team’s fate also changed. KKR, led by Iyer, won the title, showing a strong game. However, in the 18th season, Iyer decided to separate from KKR and now he has become the captain of Punjab Kings.
