A video of Dr. Pratyush Vatsala, Principal of Laxmibai College, affiliated to Delhi University became increasingly viral on social media on 14 April. In this video, she is applying cow dung on the walls of college classes. As soon as the video went viral, the principal made it clear that this work is part of the research project launched by a dean member. Rounak Khatri, president of Delhi University Students’ Union, reached the office of the Principal on Tuesday along with the students outraged by the incident of leaping the classes with cow dung.
DUSU members reached his office with cow dung together. In the presence of Deputy Principal there, the students’ union president opposed the classes to leap with cow dung. Apart from this, he applied cow dung in the walls of the office. The students’ union said that if the students could be used for research in classrooms, then why can’t the principal’s office be done. Explain that the principal had stated the objective behind this research and said that this research is about controlling thermal stress using traditional Indian techniques.

He had told PTI that this research is being studied with the title ‘Using the thermal stress control using traditional Indian knowledge and the process is currently going on in Porta Cabin. Dr. Vatsala had said that I myself applied cow dung on the wall of a porta cabin, because touching natural elements like soil and cow dung would not harm. Some people are creating misconceptions based on incomplete information.

While sharing this video with the teachers of the college, the principal also informed that efforts are being made to keep classes naturally cool so that students and teachers can get more favorable teaching environment.
