Bombs or missiles weighing up to 15 thousand kilograms or both can be deployed in this aircraft to attack the enemy. Like- Kh-20, Kh-22, Kh-55/101/102 or 8 Kh-101/102 cruise missiles. These are installed in the underwing pylon.

This is a subsonic cruise missile of Russia. The Russian Air Force has been using it since 2010. The range of this missile weighing 2400 kg is 3500 km. It flies at a maximum speed of 964 km/hr. This 24.5 feet long missile carries conventional weapons. However, nuclear weapons can also be installed in its upgraded version i.e. Kh-102. Russia fires this cruise missile from Tu-95MSM or Tu-160 bombers.
