They will have to pay heavy tax on this.

The players selected in the IPL 2025 mega auction will be contracted for a period of three years until the next mega auction. Whatever price the players have been selected for, they will get it within a period of three years after paying taxes. Take the example of Shreyas Iyer, after deducting tax from his Rs 26 crore 75 lakh, he will get only Rs 18 crore 72 lakh 50 thousand.
Will Shreyar Iyer get money if he is injured?
What if Iyer gets injured during IPL 2025? Will they get the money? The answer is yes. If Iyer gets injured midway through IPL 2025, the right-hander will get his full payment. However, if Iyer is unable to play a single match in the upcoming season, the franchise has the right to replace him with another player. As far as injury before the tournament is concerned, if a player gets injured during any BCCI tournament, then as per the insurance policy of the board, the player gets the full amount. If that player is from abroad, they are not compensated.
