Why is Mahaparinirvan Day celebrated?
Mahaparinirvan Diwas is celebrated every year on 6 December, the death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. He was the main architect of the Indian Constitution. He was one of the seven members of the committee that drafted the Indian Constitution after independence. In 1990, Ambedkar was honored with India’s highest civilian award ‘Bharat Ratna’. Baba Saheb Ambedkar died on 6 December 1956 at his home in Delhi.
The session will continue till December 20
The winter session of Parliament started on 25 November, which will continue till 20 December. There are preparations to bring 16 bills in this session.
