The Kapoor family met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday in Delhi for a special meeting regarding the upcoming Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival. Present during the interaction were Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. A video shared by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) captured the Kapoor family sharing their experiences following the meeting with the PM.

During the meeting, a light-hearted moment occurred when actress Alia Bhatt asked Prime Minister Modi if he gets time to listen to music. She playfully inquired, “Kya aap gaane sun paate hain?” (Do you get time to listen to music?).

PM Modi responded with a simple yet charming reply and said, “Main sun pata hoon kyunki mujhe achha lata hai. Whenever I get a chance, I definitely lie down in the sun.” (I do listen because I enjoy it. Whenever I get the chance, I listen). Alia Bhatt also shared with the Prime Minister that she had recently seen a clip of him in Africa, where he was standing with a soldier who was singing her song.

Alia said, “I think you will go to Africa. I also saw a clip in the car where I was eating with a young man and he was singing my song at that time. But I had seen that clip. “Many people sent it to me and everyone was very happy.” (Recently, I think you went to Africa. I saw a clip where some soldiers were singing my song. Many people sent me that clip, and everyone felt so happy).

Meanwhile, the Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival, which will celebrate the centenary of the legendary actor-director, will feature 10 iconic films of Raj Kapoor across 40 cities and 135 cinemas, with tickets priced at Rs 100. The festival will showcase classics such as आग, Barsaat, Awaara, Shree 420,and My name is jokersparking excitement among cinema enthusiasts.

Raj Kapoor’s films are celebrated for their compelling storytelling, timeless music, and social relevance. His legacy continues to inspire generations of filmmakers and audiences. Known as “India’s Greatest Showman,” Raj Kapoor’s illustrious career spanned several decades, from his beginnings as a child actor to his later triumphs as a director and producer.
