All rich countries including India -China should help in crisis like Myanmar earthquake, said US Secretary of State – All Rich Countries Including India and China should help in cries like Myanmar Earthquake Said Us Foreign Minister NTC

Describing India and China as a rich country, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the US is ready to continue helping the people affected by Myanmar earthquake, but other countries should also come forward to provide humanitarian aid during such crises around the world.

Rubio told the media at NATO headquarters in Brussels on Friday, ‘We are not the government of the world. No, we will provide human help like everyone and we will do it in the best way. But we also have other needs, with which we have to balance. We are not holding back with human help.

Rubio was answering a question asked about the earthquake, in which he was asked how the US offered assistance during such incidents by saving people on the ground through special equipment and experts.

‘We will do our work’

Rubio was asked whether this is not happening due to the abolition of the United States’s International Development Agency (USAID). He said, ‘There are many other rich countries in the world. All of them should contribute to it. We will do our work. Our people are already there, our more people will be there. We will help as much as possible. It is not the easiest place to do. He has a military rule that does not like us and does not allow us to work in that way as we want. This would disrupt our response, whatever it is.

‘We are always ready to help’

Rubio said that America is always ready to continue helping in humanitarian crisis. Other countries also need to do this. China is a very rich country and India is also a rich country. There are many other countries in the world and everyone should contribute to it. The United States is 60 to 70 percent of the worldwide humanitarian aid burden. We will be in the business of humanitarian aid, but also we have other priorities which are in the national interest of the United States and we are going to align to appropriately balance them all.
