The Waqf (Amendment) Bill is unable to form an opinion among the parties included in the India block whether they have to oppose or support it. While the Congress and DMK have challenged this bill passed by Parliament as unconstitutional and challenged it in the Supreme Court, Uddhav Thackeray’s party Shiv Sena-UBT, which is included in India block, has said that the Bill has not gone to the Supreme Court. However, Uddhav Sena strongly opposed this bill in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. But now the party says that this file has now been closed for it.
Congress MP from Kishanganj in Bihar Mohammad Javed has challenged the constitutionality of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in the Supreme Court. He was also a member of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for this bill. When asked about this, Shiv Sena-UBT spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said, ‘We will not go to the Supreme Court. We have done our work. Whatever was to say, what was to be said happened in both the houses of Parliament. This file has now been closed for us.

Waqf Bill for the benefit of industrialists: Raut
Shiv Sena-UBT leader Sanjay Raut had criticized the BJP for the time bill and described it as an agenda created for the benefit of industrialists. Keeping his side, Sanjay Raut had said, ‘Waqf Bill has nothing to do with Hindutva. This is a common bill. If someone is connecting it with Hindutva, then he is a fool. If there is any connection with this bill, then it is clear that it becomes easy for some industrialists to capture the property of Waqf Board in future.
Explain that the Waqf (Amendment) Bill has been approved by the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and it has been sent to the President for their approval. This bill will become a law after the President’s approved and it will be implemented in the whole country with the issuance of Gazette notification by the central government. In the Lok Sabha, 288 votes were cast in support of the Waqf Bill, while 232 votes in the opposition. At the same time, 128 votes were cast in support of this bill in Rajya Sabha, while 95 votes in protest. NCP MP Praful Patel also took a dig at Shiv Sena-UBT MP Sanjay Raut to speak against the Waqf Bill in the Rajya Sabha.

Praful Patel did sarcasm at Sanjay Raut
When Praful Patel was giving a speech in the Rajya Sabha on the Waqf Bill, Sanjay Raut was not in the house. On the matter of NCP MP, Shiv Sena-UBT MP Priyanka Chaturvedi wanted to say something, he said-Do not say UBT, because you were in another party. By then Sanjay Raut came to the House. As soon as he arrived, Praful Patel taunted the Babri Masjid demolition and the Bombay blasts. Praful Patel pointed to Sanjay Raut and said, ‘… come, our friends have come. Bala Saheb Thackeray used to say that he was proud that Shiva soldiers demolished the Babri Masjid …. and my Shiva soldiers protected Hindus in the 92-93 Mumbai riots. Our Sanjay Bhaiya was the first tuck… tuck … tuck … but today he does not understand what to say or not.

On his statement, Sanjay Raut hit back in a conversation with the media outside Parliament. Raut said that Praful Patel should not remember Baba Saheb. His father ran away from Sharad Pawar and ran away and now talks about loyalty. He said, ‘Whom did Prafulla Patel have with relations with Iqbal Mirchi and Dawood …?
