Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, known for his candid revelations on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), recently shared a quirky anecdote about his financial habits. In the latest episode of the show’s 16th season, Bachchan disclosed that he has never used an ATM and depends on his wife, actress-turned-politician Jaya Bachchan, for cash.

During an engaging conversation with a contestant, Amitabh was asked if his wife Jaya ever requested him to bring something home, akin to how mothers ask their children to pick up essentials. The actor humorously responded, “Bilkul kehti hain. Keh deti hain, ‘Apne aap ko le aana ghar (Yes! She says to bring myself home)!'”
He further revealed Jaya’s fondness for jasmine garlands, stating, “Jaya Ji likes gajra very much, toh raste mein jab chhote bache haar bechne aate hain, toh mein buy from them and never give them to Jaya Ji or ever keep them in the car. leta hoon, kyunki unki mehek acchi lagti hai (Jaya loves jasmine flowers, so I often buy garlands from roadside vendors and either give them to her or keep them in my car for their beautiful fragrance.”

In another lighthearted moment, the contestant inquired if the megastar has ever visited an ATM or keeps cash handy. To this, Amitabh confessed, “Neither we keep cash in our wallets, nor ever use ATM, because in our society we do not know how to get it. But Jaya ji has passed. Main unse paise maangta hoon (I neither keep cash nor visit an ATM because I don’t understand how to use one. But Jaya keeps cash. I ask her for money).”
