The seized items are being investigated. The raid was conducted after the arrest of Krishna Hansda, a Naxal cadre of the banned terrorist organization CPI (Maoist). Hansda, a regional committee member of CPI (Maoist), was arrested from Lucio forest area of ​​Dumri in January 2023.

During the investigation, the NIA, which took over the case in June 2023, unearthed links between several suspects and Naxalites, who are believed to be supplying logistics and electronic goods to the CPI (Maoist) in Parasnath area of ​​Giridih. included in the supply.

Friday’s search was part of the NIA’s investigation against these suspects and the Naxalites. Officials said that further investigation into the matter is underway. In another case, NIA raids were also conducted in remote villages of Chhattisgarh in connection with the CPI (Maoist) attack on polling and security team during the 2023 assembly elections.

A statement from the investigating agency said searches were conducted at the hideouts of at least 11 suspects in Rawandiggi, Semra, Mainpur, Ghoragaon, Kerabahara and Gariaband villages in sensitive Maoist-affected areas of Gariaband and Dhamtari districts.

Investigation has revealed that an IED blast that killed a head constable of ITBP Adhoc 615 battalion was carried out in an attack on the polling party and security personnel returning from village Badegobra after voting during the assembly elections in Mainpur-Nuapara division in November last year. Was behind. The statement said that the names of the suspects whose premises were searched today had come to light during the NIA investigation of the case.

According to the statement, during the search, pamphlets, booklets, mobile phones and digital devices related to Naxalites, Rs 1.5 lakh in cash and other objectionable materials were seized. The anti-terrorism agency has so far filed chargesheet against 10 accused in this case.
