PTI has come to know that Nitish has successfully passed all fitness tests including the Yo-Yo test at the ‘Center of Excellence’ of the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) here and the physio has approved them to play. The 21 -year -old cricketer from Andhra played his last match as the first T20 International against England at the Eden Gardens on January 22, but did not bat or bowl in that match.

Nitish practiced at the nets before the second T20 International match in Chennai, but due to the side strain he was out of the match and five -match series. Nitish was retained by the Hyderabad team for Rs 6 crore before the players’ auction last year. He scored 303 runs in 13 matches in the last season of IPL at a strike rate of 143.
He also impressed India during India’s tour of Australia and also played an adventure of 114 runs in the fourth Test in Melbourne. Nitish will soon join the Sunrisers team, who is to play his first match against Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad on 23 March.
