About All We Imagine As Light
The film, released in India on November 22 after a successful international run, follows the lives of three women working in a Mumbai hospital. Starring Divya Prabha, Kani Kusruti, and Chhaya Kadam, it delicately explores themes of friendship, resilience, and human connection.
The story centers on Prabha’s (Kani) character, who receives an unexpected gift from her estranged husband, and Anu (Divya), her young roommate navigating an intimate relationship. The narrative captures the challenges and emotional depth of urban life while celebrating the bond between the women.
All We Imagine As Light has achieved significant milestones in the international film circuit. It premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, making history as the first Indian film in 30 years to compete in the main competition, where it won the Grand Prix.
The accolades continued with wins at the New York Film Critics Circle for Best International and the Gotham Awards for Best International Feature. The film also earned two nominations at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards.
