Avadh Ojha was born in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. His mother was a lawyer and father was a government postmaster. Awadh received his primary education from Fatima School, Gonda. His parents wanted their son to become a doctor but Awadh’s dream was to clear UPSC. After completing his school education, Avadh Ojha went to Prayagraj where he received his higher education. During this time, Avadh Ojha learned about UPSC. After this he started preparing for UPSC. However, this path was not so easy. He could not clear UPSC in the first attempt. Awadh Ojha’s parents were very angry with this.
After failure in UPSC, decided not to do job. Regarding starting UPSC coaching, Avadh said during an interview, ‘After being thrown out of the house, I got a chance to teach history in a coaching class. But I didn’t know how to teach. However, I gave coaching here and this is how teaching started. He told that the children liked his way of teaching. In the year 2005, he came to Delhi and opened UPSC coaching in Mukherjee Nagar.
