Sachin Tendulkar, who is called the God of Cricket, will be awarded the BCCI’s Lifetime Achievement Award. He will be given this prestigious award at the board’s annual ceremony in Mumbai on Saturday.
51 -year -old Tendulkar, who plays 664 international matches for India, holds the record for the most Test and ODI runs in the history of cricket. The board source told PTI, “Yes, he will receive the CK Naidu Lifetime Achievement Award for the year 2024.”
Tendulkar’s 200 Tests and 463 ODIs are the highest by any player in cricket history. In addition to 18,426 runs in ODIs, he scored 15,921 Test runs.
He has played only one T20 International in his brilliant career. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri and former veteran wicketkeeper Farooq Engineer have received the award.
