BCCI New Rules List: After the clean sweep in the home Test series against New Zealand and then the crushing defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the Australia tour, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is looking very strict. Taking these defeats seriously, the Indian Board has made strict rules for the players.
Also, BCCI has made it clear that if any player or staff does not follow these rules, he will receive strict punishment. BCCI has made it mandatory to play domestic cricket. Selection in the team will also be done on the basis of performance in domestic cricket.

1. It will be necessary to play domestic cricket
Indian players will definitely have to play in domestic cricket. This has been made mandatory. On this basis, players will also be selected in the Indian team. Actually, BCCI wants that this campaign should create a good relationship between senior and junior players, which will improve the atmosphere of the team and cricket.
If a player does not want to play domestic cricket for any reason, then this information will have to be informed to BCCI. Apart from this, permission will have to be taken from the Chairman of Selection Committee. Besides playing domestic cricket, players will also have to maintain their fitness.
2. Will not be able to travel with family
A strict rule has also been made that every player will have to travel with the team only. That means players will not be able to travel with their families. Violation of this rule will also result in strict punishment. If he has to travel with his family or separately, he will have to take permission from the Head Coach and Chairman of the Selection Committee.
3. Now you will not be able to carry much luggage with you
No player will be able to carry much luggage during the journey. If your luggage weighs more, you will have to pay for it yourself. BCCI has also issued separate guidelines for weight and luggage.
This is the luggage policy
– Long trips (more than 30 days):
Players – 5 pieces (3 suitcases + 2 kit bags) or up to 150 kgs.
Support staff – 2 pieces (2 large + 1 small suitcase) or up to 80 kg.
– Short tours (less than 30 days):
Players – 4 pieces (2 suitcases + 2 kit bags) or up to 120 kgs.
Support staff – 2 pieces (2 suitcases) or up to 60 kg.
– Domestic Series
Players – 4 pieces (2 suitcases + 2 kit bags) or up to 120 kgs.
Support staff – 2 pieces (2 suitcases) or up to 60 kg.
4. Separate shipping to Center of Excellence Bengaluru
Every player will have to contact the team management to send luggage or personal items to the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. If an item is sent by different means, then the extra cost will have to be borne by the player.
5. Ban on personal staff in any tour or series
There will be a ban on personal staff (like personal managers, chefs, assistants and security) in any tour or series. Unless permission is taken from BCCI for this.
6. Must be present during practice sessions
BCCI has also made a strict rule that now every player will have to be present during the practice session. No player will be able to leave the practice session early. During a series or tournament, one will have to go from one venue to another with the team. The Indian Board has made this rule for bonding between players.
7. No player will be able to advertise
Players will no longer be allowed to do personal shoots during series and individual tours. During this period no player will be able to advertise. The board has taken this decision so that the players do not get distracted.
8. Will not spend much time with family on foreign tour
If a player stays on a foreign tour for 45 days, his wife and child below 18 years of age can stay with him for two weeks in a series. During this period, BCCI will bear the expenses of his stay, but the rest of the expenses will have to be borne by the player.
On the other hand, anyone (family or otherwise) can come to the player on a final date only after discussion with the coach and captain. During this period, if any player breaks the rules then the coach, captain and GM operations will be responsible for it. Apart from this, the player himself will bear the expenses after the deadline.
9. Will have to participate in official shoots and functions
Whenever there are official shoots, promotions and any other programs of BCCI, every player will have to participate in them. This decision has been taken to promote sports and for the benefit of the stakeholders.
10. Players will not be able to return home early after the series ends
Every player will have to stay with the team till the end of the tour. The player will have to stay with the team even if the series ends early. Every player will return with the team on the scheduled date. During this period no player will be able to go home early. This decision has been taken in the interest of team bonding.
Player may be out of IPL also
At the end of the guidelines, BCCI has said that all players are expected to strictly follow the above guidelines. If a player is not able to follow any of these things, then he will have to take permission from the chairman of the selection committee and the head coach. Apart from this, if any player is caught making a mistake in this, then disciplinary action can be taken against him.
