Islamabad took the match by 8 wickets. However, a major accident occurred in Islamabad, Pakistan before the PSL started. Actually, the team hotel in Islamabad caught fire. Where the players, officers and members were also associated with the league and the members were also staying. It was Serena Hotel where there was a fire. The accident occurred on the sixth floor of the hotel. The district administration said that the fire was on the top floor and the fire brigade immediately took over the situation. It is a matter of relief that no player or officer suffered any injury or trouble due to the fire. They were safely evacuated.

CEO of PSL made a big statement

PSL CEO Salman Naseer told Sama TV, ‘No player or team had any problem. The fire was extinguished on time. It did not spread inside the hotel. ‘ He added, “Fire brigade teams immediately started the work of extinguishing the fire.”

Fire extinguished in half an hour

The fire in the hotel was extinguished within half an hour. CDA’s Emergency Director of Emergency Zafal Iqbal said, “Six fire engines and 50 firefighters participated to extinguish the fire. The fire was extinguished within half an hour.

In the opening match of PSL 2025, Islamabad United won the toss and decided to bowl first. In such a situation, Lahore Kalandars was all out in 19.2 overs while batting first. Lahore could score 139 runs. The target of 140 runs was chased by Islamabad in 17.4 itself.
