Bhangarh Fort, located in Alwar district of Rajasthan, is famous for its ghostly stories in the country and abroad. It is counted among the scariest places in the world. It is said that after the curse of a Tantrik, this fort and the entire city around it was destroyed in just three hours, since then till today this place has remained mysterious and scary.
This fort was built in the 17th century amidst the Aravali valleys near the Sariska forest in Alwar district. It was built by Madhav Singh for his younger son Mansingh. By 1720 there were more than 9000 houses here along with Bhangarh Fort.
Once upon a time, the entire city was settled around the fort and this city was a big trading city, but today it is called a haunted place. No building is safe at this place. Everything is broken. There are temples here, but there are no idols in them. There are shops in the market, but they do not have roofs.

According to the story told by experts about this fort, Princess Ratnavati was very beautiful and expert in black magic. A Tantrik fell in love with a princess. One day the princess’s friends had gone to the market to buy perfume. As soon as the Tantrik came to know about this, he cast a spell on the perfume bottle. As soon as the princess’s friends gave her the perfume bottle, the princess realized that some magic had been cast on it.
The princess threw that perfume bottle on a stone. After this the stone bounced and hit the Tantrik on the head. Due to this the Tantrik died, but before dying the Tantrik cursed the princess and the entire fort. After that curse, the entire city was destroyed within 3 hours. Hundreds of people living there died. Since then no one stays at this place at night.
This place is completely emptied at night. Even animals and birds are not visible here. Tourists are not allowed to enter this fort after sunset. It is believed that paranormal activities take place in and around this fort. People are also afraid of the negative energy present in the fort.

Some people also say that sounds of screaming, crying and bangles breaking are heard from the fort. There are shops in the market, but there is no roof.
The houses around the fort are in ruins. The walls are bent. Everything is broken here. The entire city and settlement is built around the fort, its remains are present.
