Big blow to Donald Trump from US court, order to end birthright citizenship put on hold – US Birthright Citizenship Donald Trump Executive Order Federal Court NTC
An American court has given a big blow to Donald Trump. As soon as he became President, he signed an executive order to end birthright citizenship. Till next month, there was a fear of taking away American citizenship of people who have American citizenship by birth even though their parents are not American. However, the court clearly declared Trump’s order ‘unconstitutional’.
Four states led by Democrats had approached the court against Trump’s decision on birthright citizenship. After hearing the case, US District Judge John Coffner stopped Trump from implementing this order. In an order, the court has temporarily banned Trump’s order.

Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States for his second term on January 20, and then he issued an order to end the citizenship rules related to birthright.
Who is affected by Donald Trump’s order?
Donald Trump’s order was to come into effect from February 20, when those people who have ‘illegal’ citizenship of America would have to lose their citizenship. The federal judge’s order came on a petition by Democrat-led states and civil rights groups challenging Trump’s executive order. After taking oath on Monday, Donald Trump had ordered American agencies not to accept citizenship of such children whose mother or father is not an American citizen.

Court accepts Trump’s order against 14th amendment
Democratic-ruled states like Washington, Arizona, Illinois and Oregon said Trump’s order violates the rights enshrined in the Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution. There is a provision in this that any person born in America is a citizen of the country. “It blows my mind. This is a clearly unconstitutional order,” he said.
