A shocking incident has come to light in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Police have recovered bundles of burnt currency notes, admit cards of competitive examinations and OMR sheets from a room of Chanakya Hostel of Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH). This incident came to light late on Tuesday night when a fire broke out in a room of the hostel. However, there is no news of anyone being injured in this incident.

According to the report, the police said that during the investigation they recovered several bundles of burnt Rs 500 notes, the total value of which is said to be around Rs 2.75 lakh. Apart from this, admit cards and OMR sheets of competitive examinations of many students were also recovered from the room.

Student had occupied the room illegally: Principal

Pirbahor police station in-charge Abdul Haleem said that the hostel administration had informed him that this room was illegally occupied by a student named Ajay Kumar. Ajay Kumar is a student of PMCH and a resident of Samastipur. He is absconding since the incident. On the complaint of PMCH principal, police have registered a case in this matter.

When the room illegally occupied by Ajay Kumar was searched, apart from burnt notes, admit cards of many competitive examinations were also found there. However, it is not clear whether the admit cards of NEET (Undergraduate) exam were included in these or not. The station in-charge said that the seizure list is being prepared and a thorough investigation of the case is going on.

Police busy searching for absconding student

Let us tell you that this incident has raised many questions regarding the apprehensions related to paper leak. Police is trying to find out what is the matter of these burnt notes and admit cards and who could be involved behind it. At present, the search for accused Ajay Kumar is going on.

Only after the investigation of the case is completed will it become clear whether this incident is part of some criminal conspiracy or there is some other aspect involved in it. Patna Police has said that soon all the facts related to the case will be revealed.
