Guyanese President Mohamed Irfaan PM Modi plants sapling in Georgetown ntc

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Guyana. On reaching Georgetown, he was formally welcomed and given a guard of honour. Guyana President Irfan Ali praised PM Modi, calling him a ‘champion among leaders’ for his influential leadership and contribution to the developing world.
He praised Modi’s style of governance, noting its relevance and adoption in Guyana and other countries.

During the joint statement, President Irfan Ali said, “Thank you very much Prime Minister Modi, it is a great honor for us to have you here. You are a champion among leaders, you have led incredibly. You have shown the way to the developing world.” “And you have created standards and frameworks for development that many people are adopting in their own countries. Much of this is relevant to us here in Guyana.”

Planting a tree in the name of ‘Mother of a Tree’
Prime Minister Modi and President Irfan Ali planted a sapling in Georgetown under the ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ initiative. PM Modi, who reached Guyana on Wednesday, is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Guyana in more than 50 years.
According to the agency, an official said, “Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam has gone global. Prime Minister Modi and President Irfan Ali planted a sapling in Georgetown under the ‘Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam’ initiative.” On June 5, Prime Minister Modi had launched the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign on World Environment Day.
