In Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, the police on Friday arrested two people for raping a minor girl and sexually assaulting her friend. The victim’s mother had complained to the police in this regard. After that, the police took this action against the accused.
The Dehradun police told PTI that both the accused were arrested after receiving a secret information from the road leading to the forest of Dandpur in Sahaspur. At that time both were going towards some unknown place.
Officials said on April 1, a woman had lodged a complaint with the police that a 15 -year -old daughter was raped by a man resident of Hasanpur village and the friend of the accused molested her friend.
Police said that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against both the accused Section 115 (2) (voluntarily hurt), 351 (2) (criminal intimidation), 351 (3) (threatening), 64 (rape), 74 (hurting the dignity of the woman) and the protection of children from sexual offenses. Police said that further investigation is going on.
