Conflicting on the purity of Sangam water, CM Yogi said – not only bathing, but also drinkable

In the last phase of Mahakumbh, there has been a dispute over the quality of Ganga water. The NGT and the opposition questioned the report of the UP Pollution Board. CM Yogi Adityanath replied in the assembly and said that the water of Sangam is suitable for bathing and achman. He informed that standard BOD and DO levels of water purity are tested. According to the report of UP Pollution Control Board, these standard in Sangam water are within the prescribed limit. However, controversy has arisen over the data of the Central Pollution Control Board and the NGT.
