Arjun Tanwar first murdered his sister by slitting her throat while she was sleeping, after which he went to the upstairs room, where he slashed his father’s neck and then strangled his mother, who was in the washroom at that time. After the murder, Tanwar changed his blood stained clothes and went to Sanjay Forest and threw them with a knife. After returning, he tried to clean the blood stains and other things in the house.
