‘Despite being the stronghold of Islam…’, why did Iran’s leaders get angry at Turkey, gave advice to Trump also – Iranian Supreme leader Khamenei advisor said turkey fell in America and Israel trap tlifwr
Iran has targeted Türkiye amid the ongoing civil war in Syria. Ali Velayati, senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has said that Turkey has fallen into a trap laid by America and Israel, which his country did not expect. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has refused to negotiate with the opposition to end the civil war, which has further increased tension in the country.
In an interview with news agency Tasnim, Ali Akbar Velayati said, ‘We hoped that Hakan Fidan (Turkey’s Foreign Minister), who is an experienced person in the field of intelligence and foreign policy, would correct some of the mistakes of Turkey’s foreign policy. Will take. However, we did not expect that Türkiye, which has a long history associated with Islam, would fall into the trap laid by America and Israel.
He said that ‘It is surprising that such actions are being done in the name of the Turkish people who have been steadfast in their position on Islam throughout history.’
Velayati further said that Iran will continue to provide its full support to the Syrian government till the end. He said, ‘Today, the number of Syria’s allies is greater than in 2011 (the beginning of the war in Syria). Apart from Iran, Russia, Lebanese Hezbollah, Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, Houthis and Palestinians in Yemen… all of them are united in supporting the territorial integrity of Syria and its current government.
Khamenei’s advisor also spoke on Joe Biden administration
Khamenei’s advisor Velayati said that the current administration of Joe Biden has worked to instigate war in different parts of the world. He said, ‘I advise (newly elected US President) Donald Trump to understand that the Democratic administration has done very little to advance US policy at the global level.
He further said, ‘The administration has worked to increase conflict and war in different parts of the world. Whenever the fire of war flares up, instead of extinguishing it, America adds fuel to it. If Trump wants to run his new term wisely, he will have to learn from the experience of his first term and understand that the situation in the world today is more difficult and complex than ever before. No independent country will bow down to their threats and intimidation.
