A case of cyber fraud of crores has come to light with a retired colonel of the Indian Army in Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab. Cyber ​​fraudsters cheated 82 -year -old retired Indian Army officer and his wife. These fraudsters, calling themselves an employee of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), accused them of money laundering. In this case, on the basis of the complaint of the victim couple, the police have registered a case and started investigation.

According to the information, the victim couple are named Colonel Dalip Singh (retired) and his wife Ranvinder Kaur Bajwa (74). Some time ago his two sons died. Cyber ​​thugs called him as an ED officer and arrested him digital. The thugs claimed that they were investigating the Rs 5038 crore scam. As a result, a victim associated with it committed suicide and a informer has been murdered.

After this, cyber thugs kept the victim digital arrest for 10 days till 18-27 March. He was also forced to stay indoors and not contact anyone. It is being told that this call came from an unknown WhatsApp number on March 18. The caller accused him of joining the money laundering case related to an account of Canara Bank, Mumbai. In this, the name of Naresh Goyal, owner of Jet Airways, was also taken.

Cyber ​​thugs claimed that the aggrieved Colonel had sold his account to the money laundering for Rs 5 lakh. Along with this, 20 lakh rupees commission was obtained for money laundering of Rs 2 crore. To confirm this, the fraudsters showed him his ATM card on video calls and claimed that he was caught in a scam of Rs 5038 crore. A case of suicide and murder has also been included in this, in which they can be trapped.

Cyber ​​fraudsters forced the victim couple to deposit money in different accounts. The total amount transferred to the accounts mentioned by them is Rs 3.4 crore. A complaint has been given to the cyber cell of Chandigarh Police in this regard. The aggrieved colonel said that the money taken away from them should be brought back, because they are dependent on this for their livelihood. He has also appealed to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to intervene in this matter.

He said, “As a youth, I dedicated my life to the service of the nation. Now in the last years of my life, I have lost everything at the hands of fraudsters. It is a cruel irony. My only hope is on Chandigarh cyber cell. I hope that the police is equipped with enough skills to catch the fraudsters. I also appeal to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and also help us to get money and help us.
