DRDO chairman’s big announcement, India’s stealth fighter will be ready by 2028-29

DRDO Chairman Dr. Sameer V. Kamat said in a special conversation with Aaj Tak that India’s defense exports will cross Rs 1000 crore in the next 3-5 years. He informed that by 2035, this figure is a target of reaching Rs 1 lakh crore. Dr. Kamat discussed the possibilities of exporting several indigenous weapons systems including LCA Tejas, BrahMos, Pinaka missile. He also informed that India’s fifth generation fighter aircraft will fill its first flight by 2028-29.
