The strength of the Indian Air Force has increased, which will fly the enemy’s sleep. The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has successfully tested a long-range glide bomb ‘Gaurav’ from the SU-30 MKI aircraft. The bomb was demolished at the target at a distance of 100 km with various warhead configurations.
What is the specialty of glide bomb ‘Gaurav’?
‘Gaurav’ is a glide bomb of 1,000 kg category, which can target an accurate target of about 100 kilometers. Which has been designed and developed by Research Center Building, Ordnance Research and Development Establishment and Integrated Test Range, Chandipur. DRDO and senior officials of the Indian Air Force (IAF) participated in the bomb testing and reviewed.
In this project, Adani Defense, Adani Defense Systems and Technologies, Bharat Forge and various MSME companies have been involved.

What did Rajnath Singh say?
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has described it as a step to increase the strength of the armed forces. The Defense Minister has congratulated DRDO, Indian Air Force and Industry for successful testing of ‘Gaurav’.
Dr. Sameer V Kamat, Secretary, Department of Defense Research and Development and President of DRDO, has also congratulated the DRDO team on conducting successful release tests.
