Electric shocks given to B.Tech student in the police station, then shot in the leg, 12 policemen including SHO – UP Police Fake Encounter FIR FIR BTECH STUDENT JEWAR LCLAR

Police of Jewar police station in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh have been accused of shooting and torturing a B.Tech student in Mathura in a fake encounter. In this case, on the order of the court, FIR has been lodged against 12 policemen, including former SHO Anjani Kumar of Jewar police station.
According to FIR, on 4 September 2022, 10-12 jawans of Jewar Police reached the house of Tarun Gautam, resident of Mathura without number plate. From there, he and his son Somesh were caught and brought to Jewar police station from Delhi.
FIR lodged against 12 policemen including SHO
It is alleged that the police beat Somesh in custody badly and gave electric shocks. Not only this, the police also sought a bribe of one lakh rupees from Tarun Gautam, which he gave with the help of his brother.
According to FIR, on 6 September 2022, Somesh was taken to a secluded place and shot him in his leg. The police threatened that if they opened their mouths, they would kill them. After this, a false case of stolen bike from Faridabad, Arms Act and Gangster Act from Faridabad were filed. Somesh had to be admitted to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment.
B.Tech student shot in fake encounter
Tarun Gautam says that he complained to the police and the senior officials in June 2024, but the hearing was not held. After this, a petition was filed in the court. On the order of the court, an FIR has been lodged against 12 policemen including SHO Anjani Kumar at Jewar police station on 8 April 2025. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has also questioned the government by tweeting on this incident.
