The winners of the 52nd International Emmy Awards 2024 have been announced. Aditya Roy Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Shobhita Dhulipala starrer ‘The Night Manager’ was India’s solo entry at the Emmy Awards. But unfortunately it missed the award in the Best Drama Series category.
‘The Night Manager’ did not receive the award
French series ‘Les Gouttes de Dieu’ (Drops of God) became the best drama series. This series of Apple TV Plus is the story of a woman who becomes the heir to her late father’s wine collection. But all this is not so easy for him. To prove his claim to his inheritance, he has to compete in wine-related tests against his father’s star student.
Talking about The Night Manager, it is the Indian adaptation of the British series of the same name. Its two seasons have arrived. The series got good response from people. It was directed by Sandeep Modi. The original series of ‘The Night Manager’ won 3 Golden Globe Awards in 2017. In 2016, he won two Prime Time Emmy Awards.
Veer Das hosted the ceremony
Apart from The Night Manager, Emmy Awards was special for India for another reason. Comedian Veer Das joined the ceremony as host. He is the first Indian to host the International Emmy Awards. His first photo has also been revealed. Vir Das wore a black outfit for the award ceremony. It has been created by New Delhi designer Shubhangi Bajpayee. Veer wanted to give an Indian touch to his outfit. Last year, Veer won his first Emmy Award for his standup special Landing.
