In such a situation, according to the new rule, Brook has been banned for two years from playing in this league. Harry Brook withdrew his name from the league to complete the commitment of the England cricket team. In the mega auction held in November last year, Harry Brook was bought by a team of Delhi Capitals. The Delhi Capitals team bid for this England batsman. Recently Harry Brook recently landed on the Champions Trophy for England in 2025, in which his performance was disappointing. He then suddenly refused to play his national team in the tournament citing priority. This is why the league officials have banned Harry Brook.

What is IPL rule

Before the Indian Premier League 2025 starts, it has implemented some stringent rules for the players participating in it. Under this, if a player takes part in the auction process and Holi is imposed on it, but takes his name withdrawn a few days before the start of the tournament, then in such a situation he will be banned from two seasons of IPL.

However, some exemption has been given under this rule. According to the Rules of the IPL, if a player is out of injury or medical region, then in such a situation that player is exempted, but there was nothing like this with Harry Brook. Harry Brook said with being out of the tournament, ‘This is a really important time for England cricket and I want to be fully committed to the preparation of the upcoming series. To do this, I need time to refresh myself after the busiest round of my career so far. ‘
