This work can be completed with the help of Aadhaar and other documents.

No interference by employers on these accounts
It is noteworthy that for Member IDs linked to Universal Account Number (UAN) and Aadhaar linked after October 1, 2017, employer intervention is no longer necessary. Similarly, for transfer between Member IDs associated with multiple UANs issued after October 1, 2017, but linked to the same Aadhaar, a simpler process is applicable.

Which accounts will be transferred?
For streamlined transfer process for UAN linked Member ID and Aadhaar linked transfers issued before October 1, 2017, it is required to have the same name, date of birth and gender on both the accounts. Transfer can be made between Member IDs linked to different UANs, provided that at least one UAN has been allotted before October 1, 2017 and is linked to the same Aadhaar number. This is applicable only if name, date of birth and gender are same in all member IDs.

How to link Aadhaar?

  1. Visit EPFO ​​Member e-Seva website
  2. Log in using your UAN, password and captcha.
  3. Go to ‘Manage’ menu and select ‘KYC’ option. Now check the box for Aadhaar.
  4. Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and name as it appears on your Aadhaar card.
  5. Click ‘Save’ to submit the information for verification.
  6. Your Aadhaar details will be cross-checked with UIDAI records.
  7. After verification, your Aadhaar will be successfully linked to your EPF account.
