After the setback received by INDIA block in Maharashtra elections, an important meeting of INDIA block leaders was held today at the house of Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) Chief Sharad Pawar.

Apart from Aam Aadmi Party chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, senior Congress leaders Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Gurdeep Sappal were also present in the meeting. It has been decided in the meeting that INDIA Block will go to the Supreme Court (SC) regarding the EVM issue.

The meeting took place at Sharad Pawar’s residence 6 Janpath in Delhi. Speaking at the meeting, Pune NCP (SP) President Prashant Jagtap said, ‘INDIA Alliance will file a petition in the Supreme Court (SC) by Friday against irregularities and misconduct in Maharashtra elections.

Allegation of not following SOP in Maharashtra

Prashant Jagtap further said, ‘The names of voters were added and deleted till three days before the voting in Maharashtra. We have data to support our claim. SOP on EVM and VVPAT was not followed in Maharashtra.

Decision after learning from the results of two states

Pune NCP (SP) Chief Prashant Jagtap said, ‘Arvind Kejriwal has told how an attempt was made to remove the names of 11 thousand voters from a constituency in Delhi on the basis of applications from BJP leaders. This action is being taken after learning from Maharashtra and Haryana.
