With a new achievement in Delhi politics, CM Atishi filed his nomination papers on Tuesday. In the election affidavit, he has declared his total assets to be Rs 76.93 lakh, with neither a house nor a car in his name. She is contesting from Kalkaji assembly seat in Delhi.
According to the affidavit given to the Election Commission, Atishi’s movable assets include Rs 30,000 in cash, gold jewelery worth Rs 1 lakh and about Rs 75 lakh in fixed deposits and savings in bank accounts. He does not own any real estate.

Atishi’s income in 2023-24 was Rs 9.62 lakh
During the 2020 assembly elections, Atishi’s total assets were Rs 59.79 lakh, which has now increased by Rs 17.14 lakh. Atishi’s income for the financial year 2023-24 was Rs 962,860. It was Rs 472,680 in 2022-23.
After the nomination, Atishi expressed his gratitude to the people of his constituency. He said, “I have filed my nomination papers on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. I hope that just as I got the love of the people in the last elections, I will continue to get the same in future also.”
Atishi gave her surname as ‘Marlena’
Atishi has obtained a Master of Science degree from Oxford University. In the affidavit, he also clarified the ongoing confusion regarding his surname. For example, Atishi has removed her surname ‘Marlena’ from her social media handles, but in the affidavit she has still mentioned her surname as ‘Marlena’.

Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Atishi from Kalkaji seat. He will face BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri. Congress has given ticket to Alka Lamba from this seat. In 2020, he defeated BJP’s Dharambir by a margin of more than 11,000 votes.
