In Sector 2 of the ongoing Mahakumbh fair in Prayagraj, UP, there was a stir in two cars on Saturday morning after a fire. However, there were no casualties in this incident and in time, the fire brigade personnel reached the spot and controlled the situation.
According to the report of the news agency, Pramod Sharma, Chief Fire Officer of Mahakumbh, said that a car, which was entering the fair area from Varanasi, caught fire due to a short circuit. The fire spread so fast that the other car parked near it also got hit.
Fire brigade personnel immediately reached the spot and took out the people present in both the cars safely. No one is reported injured in the incident. The official said that both the cars were badly damaged due to fire.
Fire was also set on January 19
Let me tell you that earlier, on January 19, there was another arson incident in Sector 19 of the Mahakumbh Mela, when there was a fire in the grass kept in a camp. About 18 camps were burnt in this incident. However, the fire brigade personnel promptly controlled the fire and there was no loss of life.
Fire brigade teams deployed in all sectors of the fair
Officials said that the teams of fire brigade have been deployed in all the sectors to deal with the incidents of arson and the surveillance has been increased. The administration has appealed to the devotees who came to the fair to be cautious to avoid incidents like arson and inform the officers immediately in any suspicious situation.
