Four people died in two fatal road accidents due to dense fog in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. In the first accident, a fire broke out after a head-on collision between two trucks, in which both the truck drivers were burnt to death. In the second accident, a tractor crushed a father and son riding a bike, in which both of them died on the spot.
On receiving the information, the police arrived, took possession of the bodies of all four and sent them to the mortuary for post-mortem. Police have closed the highway going to Fatehpur Lucknow and diverted the traffic and have started further legal action. The first case is of Jasaipur village of Tindwari police station area. Here a truck was going to Rae Bareli carrying stones from Banda. The other truck was coming towards Banda.

During this, both of them collided with each other due to dense fog. After the collision, both the trucks caught fire. Before the drivers of the trucks could understand anything, both of them got burnt inside. Police evacuated the remaining people safely with the help of passersby. On receiving the information, SP Ankur Aggarwal reached the spot along with the fire brigade and police team and brought the fire under control.
The second accident took place in Kamasin police station area, where a tractor crushed a father and son, resulting in the tragic death of both of them. The police took out the dead bodies. The police have sent the bodies to the mortuary for post-mortem and have informed the family about the incident.

DSP Saurabh Singh said that today on Sunday, due to dense fog, two trucks collided with each other, after which both of them caught fire. On receiving the information, all the senior officials reached the spot, the fire was brought under control with the help of two big vehicles. Traffic has been diverted. Meanwhile, in another accident in Kamasin police station area, a tractor crushed a father and son riding a bike, resulting in the death of both of them. Post mortem of the dead body is being done and after investigation further legal action is being taken.
