LOVE SCOUT
With Love Scout, Han Ji Min returns to the small screen alongside Lee Joo Hyuk. Love Scout follows the story Kang Ji Yun, a strict boss of a headhunting firm but she lacks social skills outside of the office. Yoo Eun Ho, her secretary, takes care of everything for her – from work to personal things. Love Scout will premiere on January 3.
WHEN THE STARS GOSSIP
Get ready for a romance set in space with When the Stars Gossip! Lee Min Ho returns to the small screen with a one-of-its-kind romance story opposite Gong Hyo Jin. Lee Min Ho is Gong Ryong, a tourist on a spaceship whereas Gong Hyo Jin is Eve Kim, the commander of the said spaceship. As the two learn and navigate their time floating in space, romance blooms. When the Stars Gossip is set to premiere on Netflix on January 4.
THE QUEEN WHO CROWNS
Cha Joo Young has bagged her first leading role in the upcoming drama The Queen Who Crowns. She will be seen alongside Lee Hyun Wook. Cha Joo Young will star as Queen Won Kyung whereas Lee Hyun Wook will be King Taejong. The duo will be seen as the rulers of Goryeo. Initially, Taejong’s younger brother was supposed to take the throne but Won Kyung and Taejong conspired to get him the throne instead. Following the coronation though, problems begin to arise between the new king and queen. The Queen Who Crowns will premiere on January 6.
MOTEL CALIFORNIA
A classic ‘woman returns to her hometown and finds love’ drama is set to meet the audience in January. Motel California tells the story of Lee Gang Hee (played by Lee Se Young), an interior designer who lives in the city but moves back to her hometown eventually. In her hometown, she was often discriminated against because of her mixed heritage. Her father owned a motel named Motel California. After she comes back to her hometown, she rekindles her romance with her childhood love, Cheon Yeon Su (played by Na In Woo) who now works as a vet. Motel California will premiere on January 10.
UNMASKED
Kim Hye Soo is back in a thrilling role with Unmasked. She plays Oh So Ryung, the host of the show Triggered. She and her team made great efforts to stop the show from going off-air after a controversial topic was showcased. She and her team take the matter in their own hands as they try to uncover the mole and also solve a rigid case. Unmasked is set to air on January 15.
STUDY GROUP
Study Group is a drama about fists over brain students. Hwang Min Hyun stars as Yun Ga Min, who struggles academically but is quite proficient in physical fights. To tackle study issues, he forms a group with fellow low-scoring students but to no avail. But when his study group is bullied, he takes the matter into his own hands, literally. Study Group will premiere on January 23.
THE TRAUMA CODE: HEROES ON CALL
Ju Ji Hoon wowed us all with his performance as the lovable Seok Ji Won in Love Your Enemy. He will make a quick return to the small screen with The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. Ju Ji Hoon will star as Baek Kang Hyuk, a trauma surgeon with a specialty in working in conflict zones. When he joins a university hospital, conflicts arise as the hospital suffers losses. The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call will premiere on January 24.
