Let us tell you about those films in whose story Generation Beta and their era has been imagined…
1. Love Story 2050
One of the most flop films of its time, ‘Love Story 2050’ (2008), is remembered by the people because its hero was Harman Baweja, who looked like Hrithik Roshan. In the film, Harman played the role of a boy whose girlfriend Sana dies in an accident.
With the help of a scientist’s time machine, he plans to go back in time and meet his girlfriend. But due to a mix-up, he goes ahead in time and reaches the year 2050. Here he meets Jisha, who is the reincarnation of Sana. In the story, Jisha seems to be born after 2025. Both the characters of Sana and Jisha were played by Priyanka Chopra.
2. Ganpat
The story of ‘Ganpat’ (2023), one of the biggest flop films of Tiger Shroff’s career, was set in 2070. Tiger’s character in the film seems to be from the next generation even compared to Beta. But according to the timeline of the story, Ganpat’s father Shiva, who was around 47 at that time, definitely belongs to Generation Beta. Famous South actor Rehman had a special appearance in the story in the role of Shiva.
3. Leela (Web Series)
The story of the Netflix series ‘Leela’ released in 2019 was based on a dystopian world, where water and clean air have started running out. In such a world, society has started disintegrating and political leaders have established a system in which only a limited number of people can get the luxury of all the resources.
In this story, Huma Qureshi played the role of a mother from a resourceful class whose daughter goes missing. The story of this show unfolds on screen from the perspective of her character Shalini. The year of events of this show is 2047 and there are many characters in the show whose age in the story is around 20-22 years. That means he was born after 2025.
4. Motherland
Manish Jha’s 2003 film ‘Matribhumi’ imagines a society in 2050 where the practice of killing girls at birth has been going on for many years. Now girls are not being found for boys to marry. In such a situation, a father buys a young girl to marry his five sons. The name of this girl is Kalki. In this heart-wrenching film, Kalki’s character seems to be born after 2025 because she is quite young. Actress Tulip Joshi played this character in the film.
5. Carbon
Maitreyi Bajpayee and Rameez Ilhan Khan’s short film ‘Carbon’ (2017) featured Jackky Bhagnani and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Set in 2067, this story was also based on a dystopian world where the remaining humans on earth were fighting for things like oxygen, water and clean air. Both Jackie and Nawazuddin played characters around 30 years of age and hence they were also a part of Generation Beta.
Generation Beta has been seen facing very bad situations in films. But now that this generation is going to become a reality, it remains to be seen how the older generations of humans save this world for them.
