Madan Bhaiya, former MLA of Loni of Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), has written a letter to Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, demanding strict action on the safety negligence of three petroleum companies. Madan Bhaiya, MLA from Khatauli Assembly seat of Muzaffarnagar, in his letter, has accused Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) of negligence. He said that many people can die due to such incidents, especially running or explosion in parked trucks and concerned officials should be held responsible for this.

What happened in Ghaziabad blast?
More than 60 LPG cylinders were loaded in a truck near Bhopura Tirahe at around 4 am on Saturday, which suddenly caught fire and broke into a tremendous explosion. According to the fire department, the explosion was probably due to friction among cylinders. In this accident, four furniture shops nearby caught fire and many standing vehicles were also gutted.
Major accident averted due to the readiness of the fire department
Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Rahul Pal said that more than 8 fire engines reached the spot to extinguish the fire and the fire was controlled after a hard work of about 90 minutes. It is a matter of relief that there were no casualties in this horrific accident.
