In this episode, immovable benami property worth Rs 1 crore 55 lakh of Angad Rai alias Jhullan Rai, one of the sharp shooters of IS 191 gang in Ghazipur, was attached. During this time, heavy police force was present on the spot.
As per the order of Ghazipur District Magistrate, under Section 14 (1) of the Gangster Act, attachment action has been taken by making an announcement in the presence of the Revenue Department team under the leadership of CO Mohammadabad Shekhar Sengar. This has been confirmed by CO Mohammadabad Shekhar Sengar. In the video during the attachment, it can also be seen how the UP Police personnel are announcing the attachment through the mike by pasting the banner on the property acquired by the mafia.
Let us tell you that Angad Rai, who is very close to IS 191 gang leader Mukhtar Ansari and one of the sharp shooters, has 25 cases registered against him including Gangster Act. Angad Rai is a resident of Sherpur Kala village of Bhanvarkol police station area. At present, he is lodged in Bhabhua jail of Bihar for liquor smuggling.
Angad Rai had purchased a two-storey house in Chak Rashid Zafarpura Urban, Muhammadabad in the name of his real sister. Which was announced and confiscated by the police and revenue department team last Tuesday. For security reasons, forces from several police stations were present at the spot.
It is known that on the orders of DM, on 8 May and 29 May 2023, the immovable benami properties of Angad Rai alias Jhullan Rai acquired from illegal sources were attached. Angad had created wealth worth crores from illegally acquired money in areas like Varanasi, Sherpur, Bhanvarkol etc.
