Guillain Barre Syndrome Deaths – Third death in the country from Gulian Barry syndrome! After Maharashtra, now 17 -year -old boy in Bengal lost his life – One Death by Guillain Barre Syndrome at Nil Ratan Sarkar Hospital in Kolkata NTC

The third death in the country has died due to Gulian Barry syndrome. A student of class 12 in North 24 Parganas district admitted to Neel Ratan Sarkar Hospital in Kolkata, West Bengal died in NRS Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.

According to the hospital, the student died of septic shock and myocarditis. Doctors estimate that its basic disease may be Gulian Barry syndrome.

127 cases have come up

Earlier today, there was a death from Gulian Barry syndrome in Pune, Maharashtra. Earlier in Pune itself, a person died due to this syndrome. Please tell that 127 cases of this syndrome have been reported so far. In view of the ever increasing number of this, 200 blood samples have been sent to NIV Pune.

Health department meeting

Meanwhile, the Health Department of West Bengal held a meeting regarding Gulian Barry Syndrome (GBS), in which Health Secretary and other officials also attended. During the meeting, all government and district hospitals of the state were instructed to inform the health department immediately about any GBS case.

Instructions to keep basic stock

The Health Department has also instructed hospitals to ensure the availability of necessary treatments including plasma therapy, ventilation support system and intravenous immunoglobulin injection and stock sufficient infrastructure for these treatments.

Guidelines issued to hospitals

Experts have participated in the meeting, including a neurologist at Bangur Institute of Neurosciences, Director of BC Roy Child Hospital, Professor Yogiraj Ray, head of the Department of Child Disease of Kolkata Medical College and Professor Yogiraj Ray. After reviewing the situation, health officials issued guidelines to the hospitals.
