HMPV virus becomes a matter of concern worldwide, vigilance in India

The HMPV virus, which originated from China, has raised concerns worldwide, although only four cases have been reported in India. The Health Ministry has advised that it is necessary to remain alert to prevent the spread of infection in the neighbourhood. The government has put hospitals on emergency alert so that immediate medical assistance can be provided.
