At the same time, Mumbai Indians’ head coach Charlotte Advaders said that the wickets of Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning and opening batsman Shefali Verma quickly helped his team win the Women’s Premier League final. Lanning 13 and Shefali scored 4 runs when the score hung 17 runs on the board. Chasing a target of 150 runs for the victory, Delhi’s team could score 141 runs for 9 wickets.

The advaders said in the press conference after the match, ‘We knew that the target of 150 runs would not be big but it was not bad in the final. Shefali could not perform her familiar performance and I knew that there was a chance for us after taking her wicket. Former England captain Advaders praised captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who scored 66 off 44 balls, saying, ‘She was playing calmly. She is quite competitive and wanted to win another title for which she tried her best. She gives the best performance from young players and works well with foreign and experienced players.
