A big news has come out regarding the Champions Trophy. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has approved holding the Champions Trophy 2025 on a ‘hybrid model’. Now this tournament will be played in Pakistan and Dubai (United Arab Emirates). An agreement has also been reached between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding this. Now the Indian team will play its matches in the Champions Trophy in Dubai.
Both BCCI and PCB have agreed in principle that Pakistan will not travel to India for league matches in the T20 World Cup 2026. Pakistan will play this match in Colombo. Due to organizing the Champions Trophy on hybrid model, there will be no compensation for PCB. But they will get to host any ICC women’s tournament after 2027.
