After films like 2018 and ARMTovino Thomas is back with the investigation thriller IdentityJoining him is Trisha Krishnan, following her success in the blockbuster Tamil film. Leoand Vinay Rai, fresh off hits like Gandhivadhari Arjuna and HanumanThe teaser for Identity has been officially released through the social media pages of actors Prithviraj and Karthi on Wednesday.
Identity Teaser out! Tovino Thomas embodies mysterious vibe, Trisha Krishnan has photographic memory that holds the key
Speaking of the captivating teaser, it is rich with suspenseful dialogues and scenes which hint at a story centered on investigation of an unrecognized criminal. While not much has been revealed, it seems that Trisha Krishnan is an eye witness to a case and features photographic memory which helps her describe him accurately. Meanwhile, it is Tovino Thomas’ character that sparks ample intrigue as his role in the film is not clearly defined. While he is introduced as an artist who helps Trisha in identifying a man she is in search for, his character seems mysterious as audiences continue to make guesses about his unique role.
Coming to Identity, the film is directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan, who previously collaborated with Tovino on ForensicIt is produced under the banners of Ragam Movies by Raju Malliath and Confident Group by Dr. Roy CJ The film also marks the first collaboration between Trisha and Tovino. Bollywood actress Mandira Bedi is also expected to play a pivotal role, with Aju Varghese, Shammi Thilakan, Arjun Radhakrishnan, and Vishak Nair featuring in key roles.
The cinematography is by Akhil George, background score by Jakes Bejoy, art direction by Saby Mishra, along with an extensive technical crew. The film’s all-India distribution rights have been acquired for a record sum by Sree Gokulam Movies, which plans to release it through Dream Big Films in January 2025. The GCC distribution rights are handled by Phars Films.
