Veteran Music Composer Ilayaraja has taken legal action against the makers of the upcoming tamil film Good bad ugly For the allegedly unauthorized use and modification of three of his iconic songs. According to a legal notice reported by India today, ilayaraja has demanded Rs. 5 brus as compensation and has sought the removal of the songs from the film, Along with a public apology.

The music maestro specifically has named the tracks’Otha Rubayum Tharen ‘ form Natupura Pattu, ‘Ilamai Idho Idho’ form Sakalakala vallavanand ‘En Jodi Manja Kuruvi’ form Vikram As the works that have allegedly been used, altered, and commercially exploited without the composer’s consent.
“It has come to our client’s knowledge that his original creations/musical work Otha rubayum tharen from the tamil movie Natupura PattuSong Ilamai Idho Idho from the tamil movie Sakalakala vallavan and En Jodi Manja Kuruvi from the tamil movie Vikram Have been used, al atered, and commercially exploited in your cinematograph film Titled Good bad ugly Without Obtaining Express Consent/Permission of our client and/or his Authorization, and without payments of royalties that he is statutorily entitled to, “The Legal Statement Reads.
The notice goes on to state: “Such Actions Constitu Unauthorized Use, Approves and A Clear Infringement of our client’s copyright and moral rights. You may also please go Any Permission or Consent, Eiter Express or Implied, For Using/Altering/Distorting/Changing the form of the musical work that has been used in the cinematograph. “
In addition to the Monetary Compensation, Ilayaraja has also demanded that the filmmakers provide a detailed revered revision generated through the use of the songs and Issue a formal apology.
Good bad ugly is an upcoming tamil film directed by adhvik ravichandran and stars ajith kumar in the lead role, AlongSide trisha Krishna and arjun das. The film, which has generated significant buzz, now faces a legal hurdle that single impact its music and marketing strategy.
