A policeman has been arrested for murder of a woman in Kanpur, UP. Actually, the dead body of a 32 year old woman was found in Awas Vikas Colony and the police was investigating it.
According to the news agency report, the police said that the constable accused of murder tried to make it look like suicide. According to the information, on Saturday, the body of Divya Agrahari was found hanging from the doorknob of her house.

In the initial investigation it appeared to be a case of suicide but when the investigation progressed it was revealed that Divya was murdered. According to the police, there were frequent fights between Divya and her husband Alok Agrahari. Constable Ravi Kumar, posted on Dial 112, had gone to her house after receiving information about the fight in the month of September, after which Ravi’s contact with Divya increased.
On Saturday, Ravi reached Divya’s house and there was an argument between the two over some issue, which turned violent. Police said that during the argument, Ravi strangulated Divya to death. After the murder, he hung Divya’s body from the doorknob using her dupatta, so that the case looked like suicide.
After the murder, Ravi broke Divya’s mobile and fled from the spot. Divya’s husband Alok had accused the constable of murder. Police have registered the case and arrested the accused constable Ravi Kumar. After interrogation, he was sent to jail in judicial custody. Police said that a detailed investigation of the incident is going on and the entire truth of the matter will be revealed soon.
