It is not necessary for Eknath Shinde to remain Maharashtra CM, it is a compulsion. Opinion – eknath shinde as maharashtra cm a necessity for bjp and shiv sena to dominate politics of hindutva opnm1

The political picture of Maharashtra has become clear to a great extent. Some sheds are still left to be cleaned. And, according to the current political equations, they are very important.
If we try to understand this, Eknath Shinde’s role as the Chief Minister still remains to a great extent. The tasks set by Mahayuti have certainly not been completed – and a fresh claim has started for the post of Chief Minister.
Shiv Sena MLAs have elected Eknath Shinde and NCP MLAs have elected Ajit Pawar as their leaders, but this work has not yet progressed in BJP. Yes, BJP MLAs and leaders believe that Devendra Fadnavis should now be made the Chief Minister of Maharashtra – because, BJP leaders claim, Devendra Fadnavis is the architect of Mahayuti’s spectacular victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The MLAs of the three parties of the Grand Alliance want their leader to be made the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Another special update is that after being elected as the leader of NCP, Ajit Pawar has openly supported Devendra Fadnavis as the Chief Minister. Meaning, Ajit Pawar does not want Eknath Shinde to become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra again. This step also seems to be a way for Ajit Pawar to strengthen his claim for the post of Chief Minister.
Shiv Sena is not completely free from the shadow of Thackeray family
Shiv Sena’s attitude had already changed in Maharashtra. The credit for the first change goes to Uddhav Thackeray, and later with sabotage, Eknath Shinde changed everything.
Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena’s performance was better than Eknath Shinde’s in the Lok Sabha elections, but everything has gone astray in the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
Uddhav Thackeray has something left, but Raj Thackeray did not achieve anything even with Eknath Shinde – his son Amit Thackeray also lost the election.
Aditya Thackeray definitely saved his ground in Worli, but in Mahim, Amit Thackeray was out on zero. Last time, Raj Thackeray also had an MLA from MNS, but this time he did not get anything.
And if seen this way, Eknath Shinde is yet to have complete control over Shiv Sena.
The last match is still left in the Maharashtra series – BMC Elections
BMC elections should have been held in 2022 itself, but they have not been held till now. The situation became such that due to completion of the tenure, an administrator had to be appointed there.
The equations that are being seen after the assembly elections, would have come to light even before the BMC elections.
After the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, now the final decision has to be taken in the BMC elections. It remains to be seen that this will be the public’s final decision regarding Shiv Sena’s legacy – and it will also be the final exam for Eknath Shinde.
The issue of Maratha pride is also important
The issue of Marathi identity is such that BJP has to proceed very thoughtfully. You will remember when BJP MP Kangana Ranaut used to attack the then Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray by calling Mumbai as PoK, then Devendra Fadnavis and Maharashtra BJP leaders had to give measured statements.
70 percent people in Maharashtra are Marathi speaking, and Bal Thackeray’s politics has also revolved around Marathi identity. Raj Thackeray may have calmed down now, but the workers of his Maharashtra Navnirman Sena used to create violence in the name of Marathi identity, and the people of Purvanchal were targeted.
Till now, efforts have been made by Uddhav Thackeray to explain that Gujarat is not on the BJP agenda but Maharashtra. Uddhav Thackeray alleges that Eknath Shinde works at the behest of BJP, and he is against Marathi identity.
The results of the assembly elections have reduced some of the problems of Eknath Shinde, but a lot of work still remains in this matter.
The legacy of Bal Thackeray and Hindutva is yet to be fully captured.
Eknath Shinde has proved himself to be the rightful owner of Bala Saheb Thackeray’s legacy, but Eknath Shinde is yet to completely take possession of the Shiv Sena founder’s legacy of Hindutva.
The biggest reason is that Shiv Sena seems to be free from the Thackeray family, but this joint mission of BJP and Eknath Shinde has not been able to reach its end.
Some work still remains to be done by Shinde
According to Eknath Shinde, personally, Eknath Shinde has to continue his journey as a successful Chief Minister, and many such tasks are left which are very important for him to become the real successor of Bal Thackeray.
Raj Thackeray also wanted the same, but it was not possible due to lack of necessary things in his favor. Bal Thackeray himself had handed over everything along with the property to Uddhav Thackeray, but he could not handle it – and all this is in the hands of Eknath Shinde, but there is no guarantee that it is safe in his hands.
Who knows, another Eknath Shinde may be born tomorrow. Eknath Shinde has to complete this work for himself as well as for BJP. Just as BJP, which is in power at the Centre, is erasing the traces of Nehru one by one, Eknath Shinde also has the same tasks left – and till then it is necessary for Eknath Shinde to remain the Chief Minister, but this is not even guaranteed. That this will definitely happen.
