IPL 2025 Gujarat Titans Defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 Wickets

Bengaluru: The 14th match of IPL 2025 was played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In this match, Gujarat Titans defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 wickets. The match was very exciting. Both teams tried well. But the Gujarat Titans batsmen and bowlers performed brilliantly and won the team. RCB has already reached third in the table with this defeat.

Playing RCB’s top order

The team of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lost the toss and came out to bat first. Virat Kohli and Phil Salt came to open. But Virat Kohli was dismissed early. He caught the famous Krishna off Arshad Khan in 1.4 overs. This deteriorated the team’s start. Devdutt Padikkal was also dismissed by Mohammad Siraj in 2.2 overs. He too could not do anything special. Phil Salat struggled a bit and scored 14 runs in 13 balls. But Mohammad Siraj also bowled him in 4.4 overs.

Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma tried to handle the team. Livingstone scored 54 runs in 40 balls. Jitesh scored 33 runs in 21 balls. Due to these two, RCB was able to score 169/8. Gujarat bowlers bowled well. Mohammad Siraj took 3 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs.

Gujarat won in 18th over

Chasing 170 runs, Titans started well. Shubman Gill caught Liam Livingstone off Bhuvneshwar Kumar in 4.4 overs. But even after this, Titans maintained the pace of scoring runs. Sai Sudarshan and Jose Butler batted brilliantly. Sudarshan scored 49 runs in 36 balls. Butler scored 73 runs in 39 balls. He hit 5 fours and 6 sixes. This helped the team to reach the target. Sherfen Rutherford scored 30 runs in 18 balls. He remained unbeaten. Titans batsmen batted well and won the team.
